I still remember seeing this right about when Gulf War I broke out. As Ms. Obama said, for the first time in my adult life, I was proud of my country. Or at least of our proud tradition of profane, shit-talking comedians.

They’re recording the IP addresses of people watching that youtube, and are going to turn it over.

Who’s they? Why would they do that? And to whom are they turning it over? Oh, and where the hell did you come from?

Viacom demanded the logs via a court action against YouTube. The claim is that these are needed to in order to prove that people are mostly watching copy written material rather than ammature clips, which is why YouTube doesn’t pull them fast enough.

yes, it looks like Viacom wants to make money on its lawsuit regarding Comedy Central clips or something. But it does look like they could monitor the people watching excess IED propaganda videos, and I think youtube already does turn over IP addresses of kids who post themselves graffiti a bus or similar.
