Well, That Pretty Much Explains Everything You Need To Know About The Rocky Mountain Peace And Justice Center

The best story I ever heard about the Boulder antiwar movement came from a couple of members of my favorite Denver hellraisers. Seems the usual Boulder idiots were out stretching their legs in a pretense of protest against that abattoir called Iraq, chanting, and I shit you not, “only marching can stop the war!”
To which Denver’s finest started chanting in response, “and IEDs!”
Anyway, you knew they were ahistorical, a little demented, and partially brain-damaged. Now you know why.
Eating high levels of some soy products - including tofu - may raise the risk of memory loss, research suggests.
The study focused on 719 elderly Indonesians living in urban and rural regions of Java.
The researchers found high tofu consumption - at least once a day - was associated with worse memory, particularly among the over-68s.
The Loughborough University-led study features in the journal Dementias and Geriatric Cognitive Disorders.
Soy products are a major alternative protein source to meat for many people in the developing world.
This kind of research into the causes of Alzheimer’s could lead scientists to new ways of preventing this devastating disease.
But soy consumption is also on the increase in the west, where it is often promoted as a “superfood”.
Soy products are rich in micronutrients called phytoestrogens, which mimic the impact of the female sex hormone oestrogen.
There is some evidence that they may protect the brains of younger and middle-aged people from damage - but their effect on the ageing brain is less clear.
The latest study suggests phytoestrogens - in high quantity - may actually heighten the risk of dementia.

So, let’s see, cigarettes reduce the probability of Alzheimers, so they’re banned in Boulder.
Tofu and beansprouts, just the opposite, so they’re embraced as a superior diet by those same Boulderites.
No fucking wonder people talk about “brain-dead Boulder yuppies.”

Those who choose to eat tofu should be subjected to a hefty surcharge— say $4 per plate—to offset the tremendous burden the cost of their medical care will eventually impose on the taxpayers.
I mean, why should smokers like me be expected to pay for the irresponsibile dietary choices the folks are making? What do they think this is, a society or what?
Besides, the way my blouse smells after I’ve eaten in a restaurant where tofu is served makes me sick to my stomach. There ought to be tofu-free eateries available for those of us who are so pure that we’re sensitive—or violently allergic to—the faintest whiff of soy products.
Since it’s unlikely that those currently managing dining establishments in places like Boulder and Denver will do this on their own, it’s imperative that the city governments accommodate my preferences by passing laws to curtail—or, better yet, preventing altogether—the serving of tofu in restaurants.
After all, it’s an issue of public health and safety.
So, of course, it’s for our kids.

well, put Bisphenol A Nalgene bottles and tea tree oil on that list, plus lots of stuff is soy enhanced. I think the estrogen is worst for young boys?
Did you guys read that infrared led light close to the eyes and skull can reverse alzheimers for some people

I think it’s only if you totally douse a child, by having it in shampoo or toothpaste. But they were looking at kids with hormonal abnormalities and tracing it back to bathroom products which produce either a testosterone or estrogenic effect. I doubt that using it just on skin as an antiseptic for cuts, or as an adult, would cause any problems. http://www.nih.gov/news/pr/jan2007/niehs-31.htm

This is another Big Lie. I’ve based my diet on tofu for more than 20 years now, and I’m obviously doing just fine.
Why don’t you focus on important things, like the fact that Ward Churchill murdered JonBenet Ramsey as part of his plot to defame the FBI?
